Tools I use
- 360 degree feedback – for constructive assessments of an individual by subordinates, peers, and supervisors. 360-degree Feedback can provide a manager or leader with their first true understanding of how others perceive them within the organization. Feedback is presented anonymously and within a careful, positive framework. This can uncover unrecognized issues and blind spots that undermine morale and productivity.
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) testing – a well-established model for analyzing personality types and traits. This analysis can be useful in promoting self-awareness to foster an individual’s professional development.
- Enneagram – a dynamic model of nine distinct yet interconnected psychological types, typically called 'personality types'. The Enneagram is a remarkable paradigm for understanding yourself, your coworkers, and even the "personality" of your team or organization.
- The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) – to understand how different conflict-handling modes, or styles, affect interpersonal and group dynamics, and how to select the most appropriate style for a given situation.
